Vintage Chinese silk embroidery featuring a long-tailed pheasant or phoenix-like bird perched among flowering peony branches and foliage. Executed in detailed multicolor silk thread on an ivory silk ground with orange, pink, green, blue, brown, and black accents. Includes embroidered Chinese calligraphy along the left side of the composition. The elaborate bird, peonies, and flowering branches are classic motifs found in traditional Chinese decorative needlework. Professionally presented under glass with a wide neutral mat and narrow dark frame. Measures approximately 27.25" x 19" overall.
