A late 20th-century solid hardwood Windsor armchair featuring a high comb-top rail and sack-back armrest. The contoured saddle seat underside bears a rectangular yellow adhesive label reading NICHOLS & STONE CO. GARDNER, MASSACHUSETTS. The base also displays a black ink production stamp reading 89 over 051989. The dark amber-finished frame is raised on baluster-turned legs. 42 inches tall by 25 inches wide by 19 inches deep. This chair is in excellent vintage condition with a lustrous factory finish. The frame shows only minor scattered scuffs and indentations consistent with light use. The structural joinery remains sound.
