The painted surface presents rich coloration and pronounced textural effects throughout. Minor surface wear and handling marks may be present, consistent with age and presentation. Provenance: Private collection, Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. Visual Description: Expressive figurative composition depicting an elongated seated figure holding a pineapple while raising a slice of fruit toward the mouth. A second pineapple rests on the table in the foreground. The composition combines warm ochre, crimson, violet, green, and pink tones with heavily worked surfaces and simplified anatomical forms. The dark central background emphasizes the figure, while architectural passages along either side create a sense of enclosure. An inscription reading “Tamayo” appears at the lower left.
