Robson, New-Bond-Street; and T. Durham, Charing-Cross, London. W. Creech and J. Balfour, Edinburgh, 1776). First Hunter edited edition. Contemporary full calf boards with a gilt Greek key design. Engraved frontispiece portrait by Francesco Bartolozzi, plus 41 plates mostlyt by John Miller all with tissue guards (38 hand-coloured, one being a fold-out by William Burgh), and one large folding letterpress table. Engraved armorial bookplate of Sir Henry Goodricke to front pastedown, stamp-sized printed plate "H.W. to F.F. G. 1840" in upper outer corner of pastedown. Rebacked. Very occasional light offsetting to text. Covers scuffed. Corners consolidated.
