Excellent selection of two vintage silver accented pieces. - The first is a vintage Tibetan Conch Horn, a unique item for any collector. This item is traditionally blown in monastic rituals to summon deities and banish negative energies. This sacred wind instrument features a large naturally formed white conch shell adorned with what appears to be a silver alloy. The metalworking is done in a silver repousse formulation, back-hammering the metal to give a three-dimensional design on the front. This gives the metalwork a scrollwork like design. Based upon general overview, the item looks very complete in its condition. Unable to verify the direct age of the item but easily could be of a vintage age with its design. Overall piece measures 7” H x 3.5” W. - The second item is a vintage letter opener in case. The letter opener holds an ornate handle representing a horses head. The handle is marked ".925" recognizing that it is sterling silver. The blade of the opener is clearly marked "stainless steel". Item comes in a box measuring 10" H x 2" W. Total weight of letter opener is 1.160 ozt.
