The Sharps rifle is a series of falling block firearms developed in 1848 and famous for its use in the civil war and the subsequent American expansion west. This example is a modern American made rifle put together by Shiloh Rifle Mfg Co in Big Timber Montana, a firm which has been making the rifle since 1983. Shiloh Manufacturing was the manufacturer of the sharps rifle used in the movie “Quigley Down Under”, easily its most famous appearance on screen. This example sports double set triggers, a 30” Round Barrel, and color case hardening on the receiver, hammer, lever, and scope mounts. The Barrel is chambered in the impressive 40-85 Win and is accompanied by a Collection of reloading essentials including brass, fiber wads, a Saeco by Redding Bullet Mold, and an RCBG 3 Die Set. This rifle is in excellent condition and appears to be in good working order.
