The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is a powerful single action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum, built for strength, accuracy, and classic Western styling. Manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co., the Super Blackhawk features a robust steel frame, a six shot cylinder, and the traditional single action design that requires the hammer to be manually cocked before each shot. The New Model version incorporates Ruger’s transfer bar safety system, allowing the revolver to be safely carried with all six chambers loaded while maintaining the classic look and operation of historic frontier revolvers. Designed to handle the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge while also accepting .44 Special ammunition, the Super Blackhawk has long been favored for hunting, target shooting, and outdoors use. This example has been modified with a handsome jereled hammer, and sports a 5” barrel and wooden grips. Appears to be in good working order.
