This vintage Chevrolet V8 automotive engine block features an open valve train configuration showcasing its dual valve springs, rocker arms, and pushrods along both cylinder banks. The cast iron short block assembly includes an attached painted intake valley cover pan, a front timing chain cover piece, a water pump unit with double pulleys, an oil filter adapter housing with a blue oil filter, and side mounted engine brackets. The block casting displays structural stamps including GM markings and a distinct 140 number identifier on the side profile. The automotive assembly is pre owned and exhibits a heavily weathered and aged patina with widespread surface rust, oil stains, flaking paint, and grime from long term garage storage.
