R Serial # 123089. .257 Roberts caliber bolt action rifle with a 24” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Made in 1949. No numbers visible on the jeweled bolt. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing muzzle wear with thinning and scratches. The blued metal finish on the receiver is in good condition showing wear/thinning on the front end; the exposed metal is turning slightly brown. The blued metal finish on the floor plate shows heavy wear and is turning slightly brown. The trigger guard shows edge wear and scratches. No provision for a front sight, the rear sight has been removed and the dovetail filled with a blank. The checkered walnut stock is in good condition showing scattered dings and scratches with light finish wear. Non-factory brown rubber recoil pad. Sling swivels. The action works fine. Includes a Weaver K-4 scope with Redfield mounts. C&R.
