R Serial # 3J8984. .38 Spl. caliber double action revolver with a 2” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling with some light fouling. Made on the J frame with a round butt, 5 shot cylinder, and a shrouded hammer. Made c. 1971-1972. The original blued metal finish on the barrel is in excellent condition showing little wear. The blued metal finish on the fluted cylinder is in excellent condition showing little wear with a faint drag line. The blued metal finish on the steel frame is in excellent condition showing little sign of use. The trigger shows faded case color. The hammer shows some light rust in the serrations. The original checkered walnut grips are in very good to excellent condition showing little use with some minor marks. The action works fine. C&R.
