R Serial # 6292153. .30-06 caliber bolt action rifle with a 26” replacement barrel. The bore is poor with heavy fouling, it should clean better. The barrel is an after-market replacement with no date code. No-Prefix guns were made from 1962-1974. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing light muzzle wear with thinning, scratches and some scattered light freckling. The blued metal finish on the receiver may be an older re-blue; it is in very good condition showing light edge wear; it has taken on a plum hue. The black enamel finish on the alloy floor plate and trigger guard is in good condition showing scuffs and scratches. The gloss finished checkered walnut stock with a black nose piece and a grip cap is in very good condition showing scattered light marks and scratches. Swivel studs added. Made without sights, there are 2 drilled and tapped holes for a scope block. Non-factory black rubber recoil pad. The action works fine. Includes a Redfield 4-12x40 scope in Leupold style mounts. C&R
