Ocean's Constellation by Savauna Arndt celebrates the beauty of the ocean and the night sky through one of the artist's favorite creatures—the whale shark. Inspired by the striking resemblance between the whale shark's unique spots and the stars above, Savauna created the piece by painting the whale sharks first and reworking the background until it perfectly captured her vision. Just as every whale shark has its own distinctive pattern of spots, every star tells its own story.
