We the Force by Heather Miller blends local history with pop culture in a lighthearted tribute to Waterford's past. Inspired by a family tradition of retelling George Washington's connection to Waterford—and her husband's good-natured patience with hearing the story time and again—Heather imagined the Founding Father as Luke Skywalker. The playful concept was further inspired by her two dogs, Hans Solo and Chewbacca. Hand drawn and painted in acrylics, the piece showcases Heather's fun-loving approach to art. Through We the Force, she hopes to bring a smile to viewers faces while celebrating both Waterford's history and the joy of imagination.
