This full-size (4/4) acoustic cello is constructed with a spruce top featuring fine, straight grain and a two-piece flamed maple back with a moderate, consistent horizontal curl. The ribs, neck, and scroll are crafted from matching flamed maple. The instrument is fitted with an ebony fingerboard, tuning pegs, and a tailpiece equipped with four integrated fine tuners. A printed rectangular label visible through the left f-hole reads: ALBERTO MORALES 1999 Made in the workshop of Michael D. Goronok. The lot includes an octagonal wood bow with an ebony frog, mother-of-pearl eye and slide, and nickel-silver mounting.Overall Length: 49 inchesBow: 28 inchesThe cello is in fair overall condition, with a significant structural defect. A prominent vertical crack measuring approximately 10 to 12 inches is located on the lower half of the spruce top, extending from below the bridge toward the endpin block (photo 5, 14). Significant varnish loss and hand wear are present on the back of the neck (photo 10, 11), and the body shows various minor nicks and edge wear consistent with regular play (photo 13). The item is untested for operational functionality.
