This framed Chinese textile consists of a vertical silk panel, likely a repurposed sleeve band from a late Qing Dynasty garment. The central cream-colored silk ground is decorated with four embroidered columns of flowering branches in shades of blue, pink, white, and green. The base of each floral spray features stylized lishui standing water motifs rendered in diagonal stripes of gold and silver metallic thread. The central field is bordered by narrow red and blue silk piping and set within a wider gold-colored silk border featuring a repeating geometric coin pattern. The textile is mounted on a cream mat and housed in a modern black wooden frame under glass. The reverse of the frame bears a black adhesive label with a cloud illustration that reads The Rainy Day Company Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. A handwritten pencil notation CR MM is visible next to the label.Frame Height: 21 inchesFrame Width: 14.5 inchesVisible Textile Width: 8.25 inchesThe textile is in fair antique condition. Several small brown spots and areas of foxing are visible on the cream silk ground, particularly in the center-right section of the panel (photo 3). The silk threads retain a vibrant color quality.
