A pair of plated metal catalytic hand warmers accompanied by a dark green velvet drawstring pouch. Each unit features a removable lid with a distinctive perforated peacock motif and stylized feather cutouts. One reservoir body is marked with the stamped block lettering MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN on the upper edge. The second unit is marked with the stamped text PATENT NO. 249642 268916. Both lids bear the stamped letters AA positioned centrally beneath the peacock figure. The interior reservoirs contain cotton wicking material and removable catalytic burner assemblies; one burner is marked MADE IN JAPAN in small block letters on the upper rim.Height: 3.75 inchesWidth: 2.75 inchesThe hand warmers are in good vintage condition. Both units exhibit visible surface scuffs, fine scratches, and areas of localized tarnishing to the plated finish. The catalytic burner elements show significant heat-related carbonization and dark discoloration from use. The velvet pouch shows minor cosmetic shelf wear and lint. The items are untested for operational functionality.
