Rain Stick Percussion Instrument 36 Inch

Updated August 27, 2026

Rain stick, the long tube percussion instrument that makes a soft falling rain sound when turned end over end. Gently tapered tube with a smooth wood grain finish in warm honey and amber tones, decorated all the way around with rows of small dark burned dimples that copy the thorn scars on a dried cactus stalk. Both ends are capped and finished and the larger end shows a lighter fibrous face. Photos taken alongside a twelve inch ruler show it measures roughly 36 inches long. Condition is very good with no cracks, splits or chips visible in the photos and only light surface handling marks. The seller lists this piece as plastic, and the photos show a molded body finished to look like natural wood. Estimated Value: $15 to $30 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
