Handmade scarf knit from multicolored ladder ribbon yarn, also called trellis or railroad yarn. The open ladder pattern runs short ribbon rungs between two fine carrier threads, so the scarf is very light and drapes long and loose rather than sitting stiff at the neck. The color run mixes black, chocolate brown, copper, cream, slate blue and teal, and many rungs have a soft sheen. Fine silvery eyelash yarn is worked in alongside for texture, and both ends finish in long free hanging fringe several inches deep. It is long enough to loop once and still hang well down the front, as shown on the display form in the photos. Condition is very good with no holes, no stains and no broken strands visible, and the fringe is full and intact. One of a kind handmade piece rather than a factory item. Estimated Value: $10 to $20 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
