Sterling Silver Hoops and Garnet Studs

Two pairs of sterling silver earrings. The first is a substantial pair of crescent hoops in a Bali and Mexican influenced style, roughly an inch and a quarter across. The face of each hoop carries a raised border of round beads, applied flower rosettes, and diamond shapes over a textured background, and the hoops close with a long hinged post that latches through the top. The smooth reverse of each hoop is clearly stamped MWS 925 THAILAND. The second is a pair of round faceted stud earrings set with deep red stones that appear to be garnet, each held by six prongs in a silver colored basket setting with post and butterfly backs, roughly a quarter inch across. Condition is very good on both. The hoops show attractive age darkening in the recesses that brings out the pattern, and the red stones are bright, well matched, and tight in their settings with no chips seen. 925 means sterling silver. Stones are untested and described from visual observation only. Estimated Value: $30 to $50 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
