This lot comprises two contemporary garden pickaxes. The first is a new Garant garden pick featuring a forged steel head with a black finish, stamped with a China country of origin mark. The head is mounted to a natural wood handle, branded with the Garant name and maple leaf diamond logo. The tool retains its original retail label identifying it as a garden pick with a 36-inch length and 2.5-pound weight. The second tool is a pick mattock featuring a forged steel head with a pointed pick end and a flat adze blade. The head is stamped with the characters Z011B within a rectangular frame. This tool is fitted with a yellow textured composite handle featuring a recessed oval containing a safety warning to wear safety glasses. Condition: The Garant tool is in new, unused condition with the original retail label attached. The pick mattock is in used condition, showing accumulation of soil, surface oxidation on the metal head, and typical scuffing to the composite handle from use.
