Unique selection of a vintage piece of framed art, perfect for collecting and home display. This selection is entitled “Grand Canal, Venice” and it was produced by artist Wayne Ensrud. The piece is an original acrylic and tempera painting on canvas with the artist’s signature feature on the lower right. The piece notably showcases the Grand Canal, the central artery of Venice, Italy. It is city’s primary thoroughfare, used daily by water taxis and traditional gondolas. Wayne Ensrud (1934 – 2024) was a distinguished American painter and printmaker, celebrated for his vibrant, expressive style that bridges the 20th and 21st centuries. Often referred to as the “Artist to the Wine World,” he created over 2,000 works depicting vineyards, chateaux, and overall wine culture. Piece is an original work, part of a line of “Grand Canal, Venice” pieces where Ensrud painted the same display under different styled themes. Piece is framed and matted within larger ornated gold colored frame that gives off nice display. Painting itself is in excellent conditional shape, showcasing vibrant color. Overall presentation measures 32” H x 37” W with interior piece measuring 24” H x 29” W. Piece also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
