Unique selection of a poster showcasing the world-renowned stage musical The Phantom of the Opera. The musical was notably composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and is based on Gaston Leroux’s 1910 Gothic novel “Le Fantôme de l'Opéra”. The production in general stands as the longest-running show in Broadway history as well as being a globally acknowledged mega musical. This direct poster holds representation from the Third US national Tour of Phantom, famously known as the “Music Box Company”. Launching its historic run in December of 1992, this theatrical tour ran for almost 18 years (ending on October 31, 2010), making it one of the longest running touring productions in U.S. history. It delivered a total of 7,284 performances across 216 engagements in 77 cities. The poster appears to hold 28-29 signatures from the cast. Primarily all of the notable actors from this era appears to be presented on the poster including Thomas James O’Leary who played the title role of the Phantom more than 1,000 times during this period. Poster is set in frame under glass, measuring 21” H x 16” W.
