Two sterling silver serving spoons featuring decorative pierced bowls and ornate handles. The Alvin spoon is in the Raphael pattern with a shell-shaped bowl and monogrammed terminal. The Simpson, Hall & Miller spoon is in the lily-of-the-valley Frontenac pattern. The Alvin spoon measures just under 6 inches long and the Simpson, Hall & Miller spoon measures 5.4 inches long, with a total weight of 1.745 OZT. Both pieces exhibit expected light to moderate tarnish (Photos 4, 10). The delicate piercing remains crisp and intact. Faint surface abrasions consistent with age and use are visible (Photos 3, 9). No structural damage is observed.
