A framed oil on canvas painting depicting a winter homestead at night. The landscape scene is signed at the lower right with white characters reading dFW 30. The work utilizes heavy impasto to create texture in the snow and sky. A tape label on the verso is inscribed HARTMAN 4/10/33 and SM 25. The piece is set in an ornate gilt wood frame. 21 1/4 x 25 inches. The canvas shows expected age-related wear and has been stretched onto a smaller frame with the right edge folded over. Minor surface dirt is present on the paint. The gilt wood frame has light wear to the finish.
