Cobalt blue round squat shaped soda bottle. Embossed on the front MS JOHNS PITTSBURGH and embossed on the reverse with a large scripted J. Iron pontiled base with no remaining iron. With applied tapered lip. Circa 1850s. Condition is dug and tumble cleaned with heavy remaining ground wear, scratches and small imperfections. There is a 3/8 inch chip to the base edge of the bottle, numerous additional small chips around the base edge, a 3/8 inch area of chipping to the underside edge of the lip, and a small chip to the top edge of the lip. Measures approximately 2 5/8 inches wide x 7 1/2 inches tall.
