Deep amber round globular shaped bottle. Rough pontiled base. With outwardly rolled lip. Circa 1820s. Probably blown at an early Ohio glass house, probably Zanesville. These unpatterned examples are significantly tougher to find than the ribbed and swirled examples usually seen. This one is also in a much darker than usual shade of amber. Condition is attic found with some patchy scratching mostly around the mid point of the body, but no other damage. Measures approximately 4 7/8 inches wide x 8 3/8 inches tall.
