Dark olive green flattened oval chestnut shape bottle. Open pontiled base. Sheared and applied inverted band lip. Circa 1790-1830. Blown at a New England area glass house. These exceptionally large size chestnuts are quite difficult to find. Condition is attic found with patchy wear around the mid section of the body and there are a couple of internal open bubbles with some content residue in them. Measures approximately 7 3/4 inches wide x 13 inches tall.
