Cobalt blue pattern molded sugar bowl. Blown in a 12 diamond mold. Applied foot with rough pontil scar. The lid blown in a matching 12 diamond mold with applied rounded knop finial with rough pontil on the underside of the lid. This example is full of small pot stones and unmelted grains of sand. Possibly blown at one of the Stiegel glass houses. Circa 1770. Condition is attic found with no chips or cracks to the bowl. The lid has an open bubble on the underside and there is a 1/8 inch flake on the very tip of the finial. Measures approximately 4 7/8 inches wide x 5 1/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial.
