Aqua oval half pint flask. Embossed on the front with a federal eagle with shield over an oval containing PITTSBURGH PA. Embossed on the reverse with a similar eagle over an empty oval. Smooth base. Applied flat band collar. Cataloged by Mckearin as GII-109. Circa 1860s. Condition is attic found; however, it has considerable high point wear on both sides. The top band of the lip also has significantly heavy wear and there is a 1/4 inch chip to the side of the lip, and a 1/4 inch flake to the medial rib at the side of the flask. Also has patchy interior staining. Measures approximately 3 1/8 inches wide x 6 inches tall.
