ca. 1830-1850; Unknown maker, Beiderwand woven in dyed wools baby blue, indigo blue, red and natural (unbleached) wools. The center-seam constructed coverlet has geometric off-setting blocks pattern. The natural cotton drafts are used to form outlines of the blocks with a stitch-bound head end, fringed foot end and non-fringed sides; 90" x 82"; Condition: late yarn repair stitching to center-seam separation and minor edge fraying noted to two spots.
