ca. mid-19th century; initialed "J.B." tin and brass dough scraper, attributed to John F. Burkhart (1823 -1910), Bernville, Berks Co., PA. This hoe-type dough scraper is tinsmith crafted with tin tubular handle and brass rivet-set brass blade. The scraper's handle is bead-roll accented with a tapered stem and brass blade is bee-hive shaped.; 3 3/8" wide x 4" x 2 5/8" H; Condition: Good patina, no damage noted.
