ca. 1870; Salt glazed slightly bulbous stoneware pitcher with brushed cobalt rim band of four palmate designs, daubs on handle terminals and a shoulder band of three "C" scroll flowers with feathered foliage, rounded tooled rim, double impressed collar ring above a tooled transitional ring, tooled foot and Albany slip glaze interior, attributed to either Chester County, PA or Cecil County, MD; 12 3/4" high, 9 1/8" diam; Condition: 12 1/2" line from spout to foot. 7/8" and 3/8" in the making glazed over rim flakes.
