Walnut carved two-sided round butter print

ca. early - mid 19th century; Attributed to Pennsylvania, possible work of the "Bold Abstractionist" carver. The print is lathe turned with hourglass shape and graduated size print faces. Each print face carved with a balanced design of star flowers in urn: Side A has a unique tier-carve based urn with seven star-head flowers on variegate carved stems, arched base urn with tiered levels of V-groove carved design and rim has double carved angled design. Side B has a tulip and star flowers in crescent bowl design with a central set "single-tulip" flanked by six star flowers with variegated stems, incised line and angled V-groove carved border.; 4 3/8"dia. & 4 1/2" dia. X 3 1/8"; Condition: excellent old patina. Some wear to edge of print with minor bug damage to large size print.
