ca. 1840-1870; Uniquely bench crafted mahogany photographer's developing tool box with copper dip-tank, crafted from one block of mahogany with drilled and chisel mortised area for copper dip-tank, additional side compartment with three small drawers with brass pulls. The compartment has top till with two wells, dovetail slide cover and lid with nail mounted brass plate. The copper dip-tank sets snuggly into opening and has a fitted cap with nailed brass plate for working of plate.; 11 1/8" x 3 1/4' x 4 1/4"; Condition: Compartment door has lock that locks into slide-out top (no key).
