ca. 1986; Unsigned attributed to Maureen Stebner, Hartville, Ohio. Fine freehand molded stoneware diorama of "Noah's Covenant from God". Based on the biblical story from Genesis 9:9 -17, the scene includes the ark resting high on a mountain with freehand form figures leaving the ark and symbolic rainbow of God's covenant over flowing waters. Atop a rise on the other side of the flowing waters is Noah with raised hands, a symbolic standing stones altar, along with Noah's wife seated resting her head on her hand.; 14" x 11" x 11"H; Condition: Good - one small knick to one of the lion's ears. Note - This sculptural diorama is rather fragile in design, possibly special shipping may be needed.
