ca. 1820-1836; Entirely ink written in German script: two pieces have maker's watermarks of "C. & I.B." or "Christian & Joseph Bauman" who made paper and printed on the grounds of the Ephrata Cloister after the "Brotherhood Press" ceased operation. Each appear to be by same writer and signed "George Kurtz?": One 1820, multi sheet document with signatures of Jacob Kurtz & George Kurtz, 16"x 13", Condition: extensive soiling and separation at folds. One 1835 signed, 7 3/4"x 9", Condition: appears cut down. One 1836 signed, 7 1/2" x 12", Condition: minor soiling, good
