ca. Dated 1942; PA bulbous redware crock with bicolored dark brown and olive toned dark brown lead glaze, outward canted rim with rouletted bottom edge, tooled interior cavetto lid ledge, applied bicolored rope twist crescent lugs with embossed rosette terminals, shoulder band of impressed wavy line bracketed by a pair of three impressed olive toned dark brown rings, tooled foot flange. Base incised "Made by I.S. Stahl. Oct. 8th, 1942. The weather clear and warm." 6 7/8" high, 7" diam; Condition: 1/4" rim glaze flake, some wear on rosettes.
