Dated 28 May 1940; PA German border inscription including "Made in Stahl's Pottery by Thomas Stahl Decorated by Carrie Stahl Schultz" greenish brown and cream slip lead glaze, central design of two birds, a star and a spread eagle; coggled rim. (Stahl's Pottery, Powder Valley, Lower Milford Twp., Lehigh County, PA); 1 5/8" high, 9 3/4" diam; Condition: Minor wear, glaze drip in center.
