Four poultry-related items. A colorful cardboard sign for Badenoch's "Baby Chick Starter" featuring a young girl pouring the food into a feeder, sign is stamped for the feed store that was selling it in Strasburg, Pa. Large, framed heavy paper sign advertising Ryde's "Startrite Chick Food with Buttermilk" for turkeys, chicks and goslings. Third item is a framed broadside advertising a poultry meeting to be held in Leola, Pa on Friday February 27, 1931, the guest speaker was a professor from Penn State College. Last item is a framed "Winslow's Dixie Litter" poultry and animal bedding paper sign from Petersburg, VA. Provenance: The collection of Linda and the late Ed Althouse. Ryde's sign, 22 1/2"H x 22 1/2"W (with frame). Ryde's sign with losses on corners and edges. Badenoch's displays very well, has two pin holes from hanging and light wear/creasing. Poultry meeting sign missing top left corner and creasing in bottom right.
