20-year gold-filled stopwatch, engraved with a bust image of Dan Patch and "1:55". The numbers are in celebration of the record set by the harness racing legend in a 1-mile race which was run in 1 minute, 55 seconds. Case marked with heart logo and initials "A E" and "Guaranteed 20 Years" and the number "9". Dial marked Dan Patch Stopwatch. The watch comes with a 4-page typed letter dated Feb. 3, 1913, on International Stock Food letterhead. The letter is addressed to David R. Coburn and is providing him with information on the gold stopwatch that is being presented to him. The watch and letter were found together, but not known if the watch is the same given to Mr. Coburn. 1 7/8"D Untested.
