An F. (Fontaine) Bresson Brevete silver plated cornet, Grand Prix, model no 102804 the bell is marked "F. Bresson, Brevete, S.D.G.D., 96 Rue D'Angouleme, Paris, 66 Hautes Recompenses, Grand Prix, Hors Concours, Membre du Jury, Made in France", valves work well, well maintained, some loss to silver plate as photographed, comes with mouth piece, lube, and original leather case, small ding in tube behind bell, based on the serial number the cornet was made c1951, which is further justified by the English "Made in France" introduced in 1951 to allow export to the US. Case 15"W x 9"H x 6"D.
