This Wisconsin-made textile is a hand-pieced and machine-quilted Double Irish Chain quilt in cream, navy blue, and burgundy. The central field features interlocking chains against a foliate ground, enclosed by a triple border. The reversedisplays a burgundy ground with a white cross and all-over stippling. A handwritten tag reads Irish Chain Quilt, 98(wide) X 108, Hand pieced, machine Quilted, Cream, blue, burgundy, Made in Wisconsin, USA, and 122. 98 inches (wide) x 108inches (long).The quilt is in excellent condition with no visible stains, tears, or fraying. The machine quilting and hand-pieced seams are secure and intact across both faces.
