A large hand-pieced and hand-quilted cotton quilt featuring a traditional pinwheel pattern. The central field incorporates vibrant multi-colored calico prints against a dark navy floral ground. It is framed by three distinct borders withhand-sewn wavy line quilting. A handwritten paper tag identifies the piece as Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Amish or Mennonite made. 92 x 103 inches.Excellent condition with no visible stains, fading, or fraying. The hand-quilting stitches remain secure, and the fabric colors are vibrant. No visible defects or repairs.
