A heavy-walled Italian art glass ashtray featuring the sommerso technique with a cranberry-pink core encased in clear glass. The upper section and rim contain suspended silver foil inclusions. The bowl has a smooth, polished surface withtwo notches and a flat base. An illegible reddish-orange mark appears on a paper label remnant on the base. 6.5 x 6 x 2.25 inches.The item is in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor shelf wear is present on the polished base consistent with age.
