2014 1 Oz Mexican Silver Libertad containing 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, struck by the historic Casa de Moneda de México, one of the oldest mints in the Americas. The reverse features Winged Victory, or the Angel of Independence, standing before the volcanic peaks of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. The obverse displays Mexico’s national coat of arms surrounded by historical versions of the emblem. The Silver Libertad series began in 1982 and has become one of the world's most recognizable silver bullion coin programs. The 2014 1 Oz issue had a relatively low reported mintage of approximately 429,200 coins, adding collectible appeal to its .999 fine silver content.
