2017 1 Oz Australian Silver Kookaburra with Rooster Privy, struck by the Perth Mint from 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The reverse features two iconic kookaburras perched on a wooden fence along with a special Rooster Privy Mark commemorating 2017 as the Year of the Rooster in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II and the $1 AUD denomination. The Silver Kookaburra series was introduced by the Perth Mint in 1990 and is known for its changing annual designs. This special 2017 Rooster Privy issue was limited to just 50,000 coins, making it considerably scarcer than the regular Kookaburra bullion issues.
