1 Oz Buffalo Silver Round containing 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. This popular bullion round features the iconic Buffalo Nickel design created by American sculptor James Earle Fraser. The obverse depicts a Native American profile with “LIBERTY,” while the reverse features an American bison inspired by Black Diamond, a bison Fraser observed at the Central Park Zoo. Fraser’s original Buffalo Nickel design was introduced by the U.S. Mint in 1913 and remained in production through 1938, becoming one of the most recognizable designs in American numismatic history. Modern silver Buffalo rounds are privately minted and carry no legal-tender face value, with their value primarily based on their silver content.
