This lot consists of two short-sleeve cotton crewneck t-shirts produced for the 1994 Face to Face collaborative concert tour featuring Elton John and Billy Joel. The first shirt features a front graphic depicting both artists seated atgrand pianos before the Union Jack and United States flags, with a copyright mark reading 1994 Billy Joel and Elton John at the lower margin. The reverse displays a printed itinerary of tour dates and venues from July through August 1994.The garment retains a fabric neck tag for All Sport Proweight, size L(44), indicating the item was made in the USA from 100 percent cotton. The second shirt features stylized portraits of the musicians alongside keyboard motifs and textreading Face to Face 94. The reverse is printed with Pianoman Tour Live in Concert 94 and a list of tour cities over blue splatter patterns. This garment is fitted with a fabric neck tag for Short Hills Tee, size L, made in the DominicanOverall vintage used condition. Both garments show general age-related wear. Notable flaws include yellowing and staining at the collar of the first shirt, and significant yellowing and perspiration staining at the collar, chest.
