A selection of eight 12-inch vinyl records featuring the American rock band Journey and lead vocalist Steve Perry, cataloging their peak era of commercial success from 1978 through 1988. The group comprises six full-length studio andcompilation LPs primarily on the Columbia label, along with two specialty 12-inch singles imported from the United Kingdom on the CBS label. The studio albums include Infinity (Columbia JC 34912, 1978), Evolution (Columbia FC 35797, 1979),Departure (Columbia FC 36339, 1980), Escape (Columbia TC 37408, 1981), and the Greatest Hits compilation (Columbia C 44493, 1988). The solo work of Steve Perry is represented by the 1984 album Street Talk (Columbia FC 39334). Most of theseUS pressings include their original printed lyric inner sleeves. Specialty items in this collection include a UK 45 RPM picture disc for Don't Stop Believin' (CBS A11 1728, 1982) featuring The Journey Story audio biography on the reverse,This collection is in lovely overall condition, particularly the specialty pressings and the Greatest Hits LP, which remains in its original opened shrink wrap.
