Tales to Astonish #20 (1961) from Atlas Comics, graded CGC 7.0 (Fine/Very Fine) with Off-White Pages. This classic pre-Marvel issue features a story by Stan Lee, with interior artwork by Steve Ditko and a striking cover and additional artwork by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers. The issue is notable for the first appearance of X, adding another memorable character to Atlas Comics’ monster and science-fiction universe. The CGC case has a small crack at the bottom that is hardly noticeable and does not affect the comic itself; the case can be reholdered if desired. A desirable high-grade Atlas-era issue featuring artwork by several legendary Marvel creators and the debut of X, presented here in a solid CGC 7.0 grade.
